Carbonized wood, also known as charred wood or heat-treated wood is a material that  undergoes chemical changes in wood through high-temperature treatment. It is made  by subjecting wood to high-temperature treatment 160–250°C to cause thermal  decomposition, reducing organic components and thereby enhancing its durability  and stability.
